The billions of bike bicycles in Vietnam burned before the continental tournament in Thailand

Vietnam bicycle has just received evil news just before the Asian Bicycle Championship 2025, when all 30 racing cars and many other important accessories such as wheels, helmets, competition shoes were burned due to truck fire accident during transportation to the place of competition.

It is worth mentioning that the personal cars of the top crabs such as Nguyen Tuan Vu or Nguyen Thi Thu Mai are of great value, up to more than 250 million VND/unit. According to preliminary calculations, the total damage is estimated at billions of dong, seriously affecting the preparation and competitiveness of Vietnam bicycle team in the tournament.

Immediately after the incident, the BTC tournament in Thailand made a move to support Vietnam's bicycle team by providing bicycles as well as equipment such as hats and shoes so that the crabs can promptly participate in the tournament. In addition, the Asian Bicycle Federation also expressed interest and committed to finding suitable support options to help Vietnamese athletes minimize damage.

Meanwhile, the problem of compensation for damage is also being posed. According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh, Head of Sports Department of high performance I (Department of Sports and Physical Training), today, the BTC and the Asian Bicycle Federation will have a meeting to discuss the compensation method for the Vietnamese bicycle team after the recent incident.

The Asian Road Bicycle Championship 2025 takes place from February 7 to February 16, gathering nearly 500 crabs from many countries and territories, including professional teams, U23, U18, as well as older athletes playing in Master content.

This tournament is part of the official competition system of the World Bike Federation (UCI), and is an important opportunity for athletes to accumulate experience towards the 33rd SEA Games at the end of the year.
