When his girlfriend Hana Burzalova went to the finish line, Cerny knelt down and proposed to the eagerness of all witnesses. Both are no longer interested in not winning medals anymore.

After the race, Cerny revealed to reporters about his unexpected proposal. “We have been together nearly an Olympic cycle, nearly 4 years, so I think it is the right time to speak,” he was happy to share.
And although the wedding day has not yet been set, the two do not exclude the possibility of being held right in Paris, during the Olympic Games 2024.
“There is no plan for the wedding, perhaps we only decided before the 2 -day wedding,” Cerny explained. “We like to do important things in a random way. At the Paris Olympics, we may start as a family, and we can join the content of walking relay.”
