Techcombank Hanoi Marathon 2022 is the first time the event was organized by Vietnam Technology Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), in collaboration with Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV). The tournament takes place from September 23 to September 25 with 4 distance of 5,000m, 10,000m, semi -marathon and marathon.
Techcombank Hanoi Marathon 2022 attracts the attention of many people who are passionate about medium to long distance running. Many athletes of the National Athletics team also competed such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, Pham Thi Binh, Do Quoc Luat, Trinh Quoc Luong, Pham Tien San …

In particular, the SEA Games record Nguyen Thi Oanh has first registered to attend the Marathon – 42,195km in an official run. However, Bac Giang's native athletes are still best after 2 hours 56 minutes 7 seconds (2:56:07).
The finish after Nguyen Thi Oanh is the “barefoot queen” Pham Thi Binh with a record of 2:57:30. Notably, Pham Thi Binh is the first and only athlete to bring gold medals to Vietnamese athletics in the marathon of women. That gold medal arrived in the 27th SEA Games (2013) on Myanamar. About the third is another national player, Lo Thi Thanh with a record of 2:58:01.

Compared to the numbers in the women's marathon in the 31st SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Oanh's achievement is equal to the athletes winning the medal in Christine Hallasgo (Philippines). Meanwhile to win gold, Oanh must achieve a record of 2:55:28 of the Indonesian athletes, Odekta Elvina Naibaho. The athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa was the one who won the gold medal after finishing after 2:57:35.
Nguyen Thi Oanh's achievement is extremely encouraging in the first trial at the new distance. If continuing to practice and improve, the golden girl of Vietnamese athletics can completely transfer to the marathon competition in the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia next year.
At the last 31 SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Oanh excelled in hat-tricks athletics at the distance of 1,500m, 3,000m to exceed obstacles and 5,000. She also broke the SEA Games record of herself at a distance of 3,000m to overcome obstacles with a record of 9 minutes 52 seconds 46.
Nguyen Thi Oanh was born in 1995, from Bac Giang. She started following athletics since she was 15 years old and had diagnosed with glomerulonephritis, facing her ability to retire early. However, with extraordinary energy, Nguyen Thi Oanh overcame difficulties to continue conquering new peaks of his career.
