Tonight 11/2, the Athletics Championship in Asia 2023 took place the final of 1500m women's content. The Vietnamese athletics team has a name as “Golden Girl” Nguyen Thi Oanh. Chan runs from Bac Giang to compete with medals with 7 athletes from Japanese countries (2), Kazakhstan (3), Kuwait (1) and Kyrgyzstan (1).
Excellent competition, Nguyen Thi Oanh has returned most and excelled in winning a gold medal of 1500m with impressive parameters 4 minutes 15 seconds 55. Goto finishes after 4 minutes 19 seconds 29, while Akbayyan Nurnamet (Kazakhstan) on Tuesday after 4 minutes 21 seconds 31.
Nguyen Thi Oanh's gold medal is the second time for Vietnamese athletics to stand the highest on the podium to receive a medal at the championship in the Running subject. The first person to do this was the senior Truong Thanh Hang at a distance of 800m in 2010.
Prior to the content of 1500m, Nguyen Thi Oanh missed a 3000m content medal on February 10. She only ranked 6th, while Chinese athletes Caroline Chepkoech Kipkirui won gold medals.
The Asian Athletics Athletes 2023 took place in Kazakhstan from February 10 to February 12, 2023. This tournament is considered an opportunity for athletics teams in Southeast Asia to rub, accumulate experience, prepare for the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia in May.
The Vietnamese Athletics team will send 6 members to the tournament in Kazakhstan. 6 members including General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, Nguyen Manh Hung were the heads of the delegation, coach Vu Ngoc Loi and 4 athletes Luong Duc Phuoc, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Nguyen Thi Huyen and Nguyen Thi Oanh.
