Luong Canh was confirmed to die on the evening of May 22 after the search efforts of transnational rescue forces of Gansu. Rescuers confirmed that Luong Canh was found near the CP3 gathering point when the body was hard and took the last breath for 2 hours.
A rescue participant described that Luong Canh's knee was bloody, revealing white bones. The wound proves that the Chinese -raning record of running with her knees for a long time. It is likely that Luong Canh had fallen out of the track as the cold breeze emerged then he tried to crawl up until exhausted.
Luong Canh was the Ultra Trail Bach Ngan championship in Hoang Ha Thach Lam in all three previous held. So he continued to lead in this competition on May 22, so he did not receive any support when the incident occurred.
That morning, Luong Canh started the new day with the desire to conquer the majesticity of Hoang Ha Thach Lam expressed through Thai Anh camp posted on personal social networking site “to see how majestic these mountains were”. No one expected it to be the last words of one of the best athletes of Chinese Marathon.

However, Luong Canh and 20 other athletes still have the opportunity to survive if the BTC has a thorough preparation and the rescue team will soon be present at the scene. The event organizer did not prepare enough equipment, warm clothes or follow the weather forecast as well as the arrangement of human resources to do timely rescue work.
The cold air came unexpectedly, causing the athletes to lose their body temperature, leading to the lack of algae and falling out of the track. 172 participants of the tournament lost their rescue forces and 21 of them left forever.
