Who is Ngoc Nghia?
Ngan Ngoc Nghia was born on July 20, 1999 in Hua Pang commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province. He is Thai ethnic. In 2014, Ngan Ngoc Nghia, when 15 years old, was invited by the coaches of the People's Police Team (CAND) to come to Hanoi to practice after the athletics of Son La students.
Notably, Ngoc Nghia is still selected to the CAND's athletics team even though he owns flat feet. Flat feet in sports, especially in athletics, is considered a big weakness for athletes because of the bearing, balancing, walking gently, helping to reduce the reaction from the ground when the foot moves or plays sports will easily fall, suffer from injury.
However, Ngoc Nghia did not have this limit affecting his great potential in athletics. Coach Nguyen Van Hoang, who directly trained Ngan Ngoc Nghia, came up with many remedies such as foot, walking on a straight line … to direct Nghia's foot in accordance with the standard of athletics.
In 2016, Ngoc Nghia had the first gold medal in the 4x100m relay content. Consecutive in the years from 2017-2021, Ngan Ngoc Nghia affirmed the No. 1 position in the 100m male content at the National Championship.
Coming to SEA Games 31, Ngoc Nghia became the hope of running new water of Vietnamese athletics after the Le Trong Hinh period. In addition to the content of 100m wall, he also registered to participate in the content of 200m.
In the first time in a SEA Games, Ngoc Nghia played excellent in the 200m qualifying round. He returned to his first turn with a achievement of 20 seconds 81 (20.81s). With this achievement, Ngoc Nghia also broke the national record of the senior Le Trong Hinh. The image has been completed 200m with a achievement of 20.89s.
