It can be seen that the athletes who are expected at the 31st SEA Games are still showing a convincing form at this competition taking place at My Dinh National Stadium. On the first day of competition, there was no surprise that happened when the golden hope was still dominating such as Quach Cong Lich, Nguyen Thi Huyen, Khuat Phuong Anh or Bui Thi Thu Thao.
Entering the 2nd day, Vietnam Athletics NHM waited into the breakthrough of young talents, along with the fierce competition of the group of athletes with an equal achievement when practicing and competing in the 2021 Athletics League. Although the results at this competition are only the basis for BHL and the Vietnam Athletics Federation to choose athletes, through the competition, the athletes in the group asymptotic parameters to attend the congress have more efforts in training.
The second day of the competition for the selection of athletes took place on My Dinh Stadium with 10 contents takes place from 9:00 pm. The content of the competition on the 2nd day (March 5, 2022) includes 10,000m male – female, 3 -step dance male – female, 3,000m of obstacles, 1,500m male – female, 100m male – female, 400m male – female.

SEA Games 31th Athletics Calendar in Vietnam
Although some athletes have outstanding achievements in some contents, they are sure to attend the 31st SEA Games without participating in the competition, but the top athletes still have the opportunity, so this is considered a survival fire test to find an attendance of the 31st SEA Games at home.
Notably on the second day of competition is the race in the 10,000m male content when the competition between Nguyen Quoc Anh (Army) and Le Van Thao (Thanh Hoa) opened a vibrant competition day. As a result, Nguyen Quoc Anh won convincingly teammates in the national team on the 10,000m run.
At the content of 1,500m Nam Tran Nhat Hoang (Khanh Hoa) is still the most dominant athlete when returning with Nguyen Thi Oanh (Bac Giang). Along with that, Quach Thi Lan still shows the stability at the 400m forte.
On the last day of competition (March 6), the marathon content will be played within the framework of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon Running Tournament on the way of competing in the Marathon content at the 31 SEA Games.
