“Hong Le has officially asked for the national team. 7 consecutive years of the national team, still passionate and love this subject, but from today I am officially no longer a member of the national team,” Pham Thi Hong Le shared on her personal page about her decision.

Pham Thi Hong Le was born in 1998, is a member of the Binh Dinh Athletics Team and the National Athletics. Her forte is medium and long distance. Hong Le is considered one of the talented athletes of Vietnamese athletics next to Pham Thi Hue, Nguyen Thi Oanh, Nguyen Thi Huyen or Quach Thi Lan.
According to Hong Le's share, one of the reasons why she decided to leave the national athletics team was because the condition was not allowed. This athlete said that she had to play in a state of injury for the past 2 years. That makes Hong Le unable to play as well as to ensure the national task.
“Although I have not done many great things for my home sports, I am still proud to have put on the color of the shirt and devote my ability for sports,” Hong Le wrote. She left the ability to continue participating in athletics in the near future, as well as thanking the coaches for helping her.
Besides Hong Le, another member of Vietnamese Athletics is also intending to withdraw from the national team, Khuat Phuong Anh. Earlier, Vietnamese athletics broke up with two veteran players Bui Thi Thu Thao and Nguyen Thi Huyen, when they decided to retire at the age of 30.
