The incident occurred in the European Athletics Tournament 2023, athlete Enrique Llopis of Spain fell in the last fence in the sprint. He was hit his head on the road and lying motionless on the spot. The medical staff later had to split Llopis's neck area to take him to leave the stadium.

It is worth mentioning that when Llopis was lying on the run, Jason Joseph – the first finisher was Swiss flag and celebrated passionately without paying attention to his opponent. Joseph later received countless criticisms. The media even describes this as 'the most non -sporty act in history'.
Swiss athletes later had to publicly apologize to Llopis as well as fans for their actions. “The first thing, I would like to apologize to everyone, especially Llopis because I did not check your situation before celebrating.” Joseph expressed.
“At that time, I almost could not think anything, nor was I unable to realize what was happening around me. Hope you're fine, and see you again in the next tournament!”.

As for Llopis, fortunately his injury is not too serious. Just a few days later, he appeared in a video posted on the official account of the Spanish Royal Athletics Federation. Llopis thanked the Federation, the medical staff and said his current situation was very positive.
