The Asian Athletics Athletes 2023 took place in Kazakhstan from February 10 to February 12, 2023. This tournament is considered an opportunity for athletics teams in Southeast Asia to rub, accumulate experience, prepare for the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia in May.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese athletics team will send 6 members to the tournament in Kazakhstan. 6 members including General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, Nguyen Manh Hung were the heads of the delegation, coach Vu Ngoc Loi and 4 athletes Luong Duc Phuoc, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Nguyen Thi Huyen and Nguyen Thi Oanh.
Of the 4 athletes, the two girls Huyen and Oanh both have familiar names to fans when they constantly achieve success in recent SEA Games. In the Athletics tournament in Asia 2023, Nguyen Thi Oanh registered to attend two internal appliances running 1,500m and 3,000m.
