Entering the female 4x400m relay content, Vietnamese athletes are under a lot of pressure when this is the last content that is expected to bring the medal to the national athletics team. Overcoming adversity, 4 Vietnamese athletes achieved 3 minutes 31 seconds 61, the best parameters of the team in 2023.

Compared to the achievement of the Vietnamese women's relay team at the Asian Championship (3 minutes 32 seconds 06), the athletes have made great progress. However, this result is not enough for Vietnamese athletics to have a medal. Bahrain, the team did not send athletes to participate in the Asian Championship, win gold medals with a record of 3 minutes 27 seconds 65, break the ASIAD record.
Behind Bahrain, India (3 minutes 27 seconds 85, also broke the ASIAD record) and Sri Lanka (3 minutes 30 seconds 88). More notably, India and Sri Lanka are the teams behind Vietnam in the Asian Championship recently. But after only 4 months, their athletes have improved impressive achievements to win medals.
Talking about the results of the competition today, athlete Nguyen Thi Hang, who runs in the fourth round, shared: “Today your team comes too well to create a big distance from the first seconds. I myself are ranked in the fourth round, and when I see the opponents away from me, I only run my best to achieve the best achievement.”

Commenting on the 4x400m relay team of Vietnam has achieved the best parameters of the year but has not been able to win the Asiad medal, Nguyen Thi Hang said she and her teammates need to try harder. The whole team will continue to practice in the near future to achieve better results in the future.
